Payment Terms

 We accept Pay Pal, Cashier’s Checks, Certified Checks, and money orders made to American Prototype Hobbies. Orders will ship promptly. No Euro checks accepted.

 Personal Checks are also accepted, but expect a “Bank Hold” for amounts over $50.00. Again, PLEASE make payable to American Prototype Hobbies.

 We do not ship C.O.D.!

Foreign Orders

PLEASE use the accepted credit cards to expedite the processing of the orders. Foreign and Canadian orders must be paid in U.S. funds and will be billed with the actual shipping charges (US Postal System) and a nominal packaging & handling charge. If you need an exact shipping cost, please ask in the notes box on your shopping cart.

On-Line Shopping Cart - How does it work?

Every item is available for on-line ordering.  Some items are in stock for immediate shipment and some are not.  Because of manufacturer’s production policies, we cannot keep all items in stock at all times.  It is also very expensive to have a real-time, on-line ordering system tied to our inventory.  We are working on that, but for now we will use a "two pass" process.  All orders will be immediately transmitted to our office via email.  When we receive your order, we will determine what we can ship and what has to go on backorder.  We will reply to you within 24 hours after we receive your order (weekends excluded) via email detailing the cost including any applicable discount and shipping charges.  Other methods of ordering (phone, fax, and mail) are still available but you will get the quickest response through this on-line ordering system.

Here is how it works, it's very simple:

1) Browse our web site.  All items should have an "Add to Cart" tag  .  Simply click on this tag and the system will add one of that item to your personal shopping cart.  The system will show the item number, description, unit cost and total cost based on our prices.  You can increase, decrease or remove each item from the cart.  You can return to the page you left by clicking "Continue Shopping".

2) Your cart will remain there for you as long as you continue to shop or until you checkout.  You can return to it either by ordering another item or by clicking on the "View Your Shopping Cart"  tag anywhere you see it on the bottom of every page.  Again, you can increase, decrease or remove any item in your cart.

3) When you are finished adding to your personal shopping cart, choose "Go to Checkout Now"  .
  You will be asked how you wish to pay. 

  At that point, you will enter a secure section (if your browser supports SSL) where you will provide the information on your payment option choice and shipping information.  Please fill in all the applicable fields including email address and telephone number in case we have a question.  Credit card orders cannot be processed without complete information.  You can also enter any special instructions here.  When you have completed the information, click on "Submit Secure Order" on the bottom of this page.  Shipping charge is shown for delivery in the Continental US.  All foreign shipments are at actual cost.  The system will then transmit your order to us via email stripping off your credit card information.  We screen diligently for credit card fraud.  We can access this data through a secure connection if we need it.

4) When we receive your order, we will immediately determine what can be shipped and when.  We will then send this information to your email address including the amount which will be charged to your credit card (where applicable) or the amount you must send to complete the processing of the order.

5) Remember, this is a new process for both of us.  We want to provide you the great service to match our great products.  We will make any changes necessary to make this a smooth and convenient process for both of us!


Our shipping policies and procedures are simple and designed to have you receive our products quickly and safely while protecting both your interest and ours.  Our products are professionally packed and sealed.  Most items will be shipped via USPS and major items are insured to the retail value.

New Customers:
For your protection, we can only ship to your credit card billing address. After 90 days, you will be able to ship packages to an alternate location. We apologize for any inconvenience.
